Twelve Days of Christmas Worship Service
For the Sunday after Christmas
The Sundays of Christmas-tide present opportunities for quieter worship or playful merry-making. For clergy-types, however, following the high expectations of the Advent season and Christmas Eve, there may be little energy for crafting worship.
If you are thinking, “Holy moly, we just blew out the Christmas Eve candles and Sunday’s coming round again!!” we offer this take-and-bake worship service, based upon the twelve days of Christmas. This service has all the ingredients for a creative, no-sermon service and can easily be plugged in on Christmas Day or the first Sunday after Christmas. With many of the worship leader parts scripted, it’s easy to hand off to congregational leaders.
NOTE: This service was originally offered in December 2022 for use on Christmas Morning or New Years Eve (both Sundays), so be prepared to do a little date editing.
