Pastoral Leadership Revitalization
About PLR
Pastoral Leadership Revitalization (PLR) is a 3-year program for pastoral leaders (Ministers of Word & Sacrament or Commissioned Ruling Elders) serving congregations in OPSF’s 13- state region. PLR supports pastors and their congregations by providing dynamic continuing education and networks of peer and professional support. PLR does this through a three-pronged approach of retreats, one-on-one coaching or spiritual direction, and peer-to-peer learning cohorts.
Pastoral Leadership Revitalization takes place within five chapters across our region made up of over fifteen presbyteries: Colorado, Iowa-Nebraska, Kansas-Missouri, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin. Each chapter hosts one of PLR’s annual retreats, which are open to PLR members and nonmembers alike. Pastoral leaders from across OPSF’s thirteen-state region are invited to join as individual members, even if their presbytery is not currently part of a chapter.
Pastoral leadership is a calling often filled with moments of deep joy and overwhelming isolation. PLR is an opportunity for pastors to grow, connect, and be nurtured. Have questions? Reach out to OPSF’s Director of Programs, Rev. Tricia Dillon Thomas (programs@opsf-omaha.org).
