Support for Organizations

Our mission at the Omaha Presbyterian Seminary Foundation (OPSF) is to equip leaders for the challenges of ministry. These are challenging times for the Church. Congregations and specialized ministries need pastors and congregational leaders who are both faithful and well prepared to lead.

OPSF supports and strengthens pastors and other church leaders through specially designed educational opportunities that reflect our 130 years of cumulative experience. We work hand-in-hand with denominational leaders, congregations, and pastors to promote excellence and health in Christian leadership.

Pastoral Leadership Revitalization

Pastoral Leadership Revitalization (PLR) is a 3-year program for pastoral leaders (Ministers of Word & Sacrament or Commissioned Ruling Elders) serving congregations in OPSF’s 13- state region. PLR provides pastors and their congregations with continuing education and networks of peer and professional support. PLR offers retreats, one-on-one coaching or spiritual direction, and peer-to-peer learning cohorts.

Synergos Pastoral Residency Program

The Synergos Pastoral Residency equips and supports mid-career pastors and key congregational leaders to foster relevant and life-giving ministries for their congregations. Synergos focuses on in faith formation, leadership development, coaching, and community for the pastor and lay leader participants.

Lifelong Learning Grants & Events

Lifelong Learning Grants from OPSF have provided over one million dollars to support educational events, workshops, and seminars of a wide variety. Church leaders of any position benefit from these programs. We are currently evaluating our grant-making process as we seek to most effectively serve congregational leaders. Information regarding future opportunities will be released as our discernment progresses.

Bountiful Preaching Cohorts

Bountiful Preaching Cohorts are small communities of Presbyterian Church (USA) pastoral leaders gathered to cultivate preaching practices that bear a fruitful harvest in worship, work, and witness. Cohorts will embark on a two-year journey, including self-directed formation and a preaching intensive workshop hosted by OPSF.
