Past Foundation Leaders
ROBERT K. ADAMS
For over 26 years, Robert K. Adams offered his leadership skills. As an attorney, his organizational skills and legal knowledge provided the framework upon which the Foundation could develop programs and continue its mission. To express appreciation for his wisdom and devotion, the Board funds a scholarship in his name.
EUGENE C. DINSMORE
Eugene C. Dinsmore used his skill as an investment banker to invest the seminary’s financial assets until the corpus of the Trust reached over $9 million. The Foundation honors his 40 years of dedication with a scholarship honoring his leadership.
DR. HOWARD B. DOOLEY
Dr. Howard B. Dooley graduated from the Presbyterian Theological Seminary at Omaha, became a Board member in 1969, vice president in 1977, and president in 1988. Using his dual skills as an attorney and a minister, he led the transition from the seminary to a charitable foundation providing opportunities for Christian education. Upon his retirement in 1994, the Board recognized his outstanding service and leadership with a scholarship.
REV. DR. SILAS G. KESSLER
The Foundation’s mission is to encourage those whom God has called to give their lives and leadership talents to the Church. The Foundation searched for a model pastor and found a highly regarded role model in the person of Silas G. Kessler, a former Moderator of General Assembly and, above all, a much loved pastor of his Hastings, Nebraska, church. The Foundation honors his ministry and service through a scholarship.
REV. WILLIAM L. MULFORD
For over 38 years, William L. Mulford gave generously and untiringly to the Foundation. He began his service as a member of the OPSF Board of Directors in 1990, filling a variety of positions with distinction. A graduate of Hastings College and San Francisco Theological Seminary, ordained in 1955, Rev. Mulford pastored congregations in both Nebraska and Kansas. With appreciation for his various and vast contributions, the Foundation has commemorated Rev. Mulford with a scholarship awarded in his name.
